Ultrasound is a technique to image a part of the body by means of sound waves. <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]The ultrasound device emits sound waves (inaudible) that reflect off your body. This creates an image on a screen. A well-known example is an ultrasound of an unborn baby. The radiologist applies gel to the skin on the spot that is being imaged and then glides over the skin with the device. Usually, as a patient, you can watch on the monitor. <\/span><\/p>\n
